January 4th

Frost Queen Jackpots – Yggdrasil

The first offering this month is from Yggdrasil, and their first game for January is Frost Queen Jackpots. The slot is built around a 5-reel, 3-row format and there’s 20 fixed paylines in play. While the game offers fairly modest wins of up to 1,265X your stake, the gameplay is fast-paced, action-packed and, with an RTP of 96%, it offers some decent play-time too. Like all Yggdrasil slots, Frost Queen Jackpots is impeccably designed, offering up fantastic creatives; the visuals and sound effects perfectly match the game’s theme!

January 5th

San Quentin – Nolimit City

Nolimit City’s first new slot for 2021 is San Quentin - a game that was originally scheduled for release on the 17th, but is now going to be available at certain online casinos on the 5th. While little is (currently) known about San Quentin, it appears as though the game developer has chosen a U.S. supermax prison as their inspiration; they’ve also announced that you can win up to 150,000 your stake - and no, you didn’t read that wrong… San Quentin allows you to win up to 150,000X your stake!

January 7th

Voodoo Magic – Pragmatic Play

Voodoo Magic is Pragmatic Play’s first new video slot for 2021, and this 5-reel, 4-row game uses a 40-payline structure. The slot can be played from between 0.20 and 100 credits per spin, and it offers a fairly decent RTP of 96.50%. As you can imagine, Voodoo Magic is set around a Voodoo theme - and arguably the biggest attraction of the slot is the plethora of bonuses and features on offer. There’s everything from the Voodoo Free Spins, to the Mega Voodoo Free Spins - all offering bonus guarantees, something we’ve seen WMS use in many of their slots. Voodoo Magic is set for site-wide release on the 7th January 2021.

January 9th

Forest Fortune – Hacksaw

Forest Fortune is a new video slot from Hacksaw Gaming - indeed, it’s their first release of the year, and, like most of their games, it will be available on Relax Gaming’s Silver Bullet platform. Unfortunately, despite schedule for release in just a few days, the software provider has yet to announce any information about the slot. This means we’re unable to tell you what the game’s RTP is, what bonuses and features it will have - or even how many reels, rows and paylins there are! However, we’re keeping a close eye on things - and when the game developer does release more information we’ll update this page accordingly!

January 10th

Fuwa Fishing – Microgaming

Fuwa Fishing is the first release to come from Microgaming’s labs this year - although, unfortunately, very little is currently known about the game. We do know that it’s based around fish - naturally - and it’s also Asian-inspured, so we expect to see plenty of Koi fish on the reels! When it comes to bonuses and features, however, Microgaming appear to be keeping their cards close to their chest - and as of now, they haven’t released any more information than this. When the game is available, we’ll put up a dedicated slot review so you can try it out for yourself and play for free!

Rainbow Riches Megaquads – Barcrest

Following on from the success of Rainbow Riches Megaways, many of us assumed Barcrest would continue to push out games using the Megaways mechanic; however, that’s not the case with Rainbow Riches Megaquads, and Big Time Gaming have already licensed out their brand-new game mechanic, which is found in this unique game! It’s yet another addition to the Rainbow Riches line of games, and while little is currently known about the slot, it’s almost certainly going to be volatile and offer a ton of win-potential - so we look forward to playing it for ourselves! Once the game’s released we’ll put together a dedicated review!

Super Dice Megaways – Stakelogic

Stakelogic left an impression on the iGaming industry in 2020; they’re clearly keen to keep up the momentum, and Super Dice Megaways is their first slot of 2021. The game uses Big Time Gaming’s famed Megaways mechanic, and the game’s format is a 6-reel, 2-7 row build with up to 117,649-ways-to-win active on every spin. You can play Super Dice Megaways from between 0.20 and 40 credits per spin, and the game offers a healthy RTP of 96.06%. Bonuses and features are centred around the free spins, but there’s also paying scatter symbols on offer, awarding up to 500X your stake if you manage to land six or more of them in view on the screen!

January 11th

Sorcerer’s Guild of Magic – Playtech

Playtech’s first release of the year is called Sorcerer’s Guild of Magic, and this 5-reel slot is set in a fantasy world. You’ll see a classic sorcerer on the reels, complete with a white beard and pointy hat - and the game is scheduled for site-wide release on the 11th January. While we don’t know a huge deal about the game, we do know that it offers a maximum win of 800X your stake - and, in our opinion, that’s a little on the low end of the scale in today's fast-paced, action-packed and high variance online gambling world. Still, it may prove to be a success - and once it’s released we’ll put together a full review for you to check out!

Cosmic Voyage - Thunderkick

Thunderkick has been focusing on developing games that offer big win-potential over the past couple of years, and their latest release - Cosmic Voyage - is no exception to this, allowing you to win up to 5,000X your stake. The slot’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format and there’s 10 fixed paylines, so you can already see it’s going to be a pretty volatile machine. There’s plenty of bonuses and features to look out for too, including a Free Spins round and expanding symbols - and, like all the software provider’s games, Cosmic Voyage looks fantastic. The RTP comes in at a fairly healthy 96.14%, and it will be released across all Thunderkick casinos on the 11th January.

January 12th

Loco the Monkey – Quickspin

Loco the Monkey is Quickspin’s first release this year, and the game’s themed around a bright, jolly monkey called Loco! The game is built around a funky 4X5 layout, and there’s a whopping 50 paylines in play - and you’ll find yourself able to win up to 6,829X your stake! Bonuses and features are plentiful, and include the More Monkey Respins (where wild symbols lock in place and the reels re-spin), and the Monkey Frenzy Free Spins, where wilds also lock in place - but with a multiplier of up to 3X! Loco the Monkey looks to be an excellent effort from Quickspin, and it’s set for general release on the 12th January.

Legends of the Four Beasts – iSoftBet

Legends of the Four Beasts is a brand-new video slot from iSoftBet, and it’s likely going to go down well with those in search of big wins; you can win up to 10,000X your stake while playing! This unique 243-ways-to-win slot comes complete with wild symbols that expand one position vertically and horizontally whenever they land in view, adding to the action and increasing the win-potential There’s also a pretty decent free-spins bonus round where you can win up to 20 free spins; during the free spins, there’s a progressive multiplier in play too! Legends of the Four Beasts has a fixed RTP of 96% and will be released on the 12th January.

Kluster Krystals Megaclusters – Relax

Relax Gaming had a number of hit slots last year, and their first release for 2021 looks set to be just as popular! It’s called Kluster Krystals Megaclusters, and it uses Big Time Gaming’s Megaclusters mechanic. The game is built around a 5X5 format, and wins are awarded for landing clusters of 8 or more symbols anywhere in view. A healthy RTP of 96.49% ensures you should get decent play-time from the game, and it’s available to players on all budgets, thanks to the low minimum bet of just 0.10 credits. There’s a free spins bonus to look out for as well, during which 40X multiplier tiles can become active - and, in our opinion, this could be one of Relax’s most notable releases since Money Train 2!

Khonsu God of Moon - Playtech

Khonsu God of Moon is Playtech’s second slot of the year, and it’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format with 30 fixed paylines. It’s also part of their Mega Fire Blaze Jackpot series of games, so, on some sites, you can expect to see large progressive jackpots on offer! The regular, non-jackpot game offers a maximum win of 2,000X your stake - so while it’s not the best game on the market right now, Playtech has done a decent job, and the graphics look good, the audio animations fit nicely, and gameplay is fully mobile-optimized so you can enjoy Khonsu God of Moon from mobile devices too. Khonsu God of Moon will be released on the 12th January, and once we know a bit more about the game we’ll put up a review so you can learn more about it and try it for free for yourself!

January 13th

Reel Lucky King Megaways - Inspired

Reel Lucky King Megaways is a new video slot from Inspired Gaming, and it happens to be their first release of the year! The game utilises Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, so you’ll see 6 reels and between 2 and 7 rows on every spin; there’s up to 117,649-ways-to-win active too. Reel Lucky King Megaways can be played from as little as 0.20 credits, so it’s well-suited to those on a lower budget. There’s also stacked symbols to look out for, which significantly increase the win-potential of the slot. However, the main attraction of playing Reel Lucky King Megaways is the free-spins bonus; here, there’s an increasing multiplier, and it’s possible to win upwards of 5,000X your stake on the game!

January 14th

Mysterious Egypt – Pragmatic Play

Mysterious Egypt may look like another ‘Book of’ game from Pragmatic - but, thankfully, the software provider has opted to take a slightly different approach, utilizing unique game mechanics and bonuses and features to offer us something a bit different! The game’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format and has 10 fixed paylines. The RTP of Mysterious Egypt is 96.50%. On all spins, special mystery symbols are active, expanding vertically when they land. There’s also a free spins bonus, where you get two expanding wilds, so there’s great win-potential if you can get the two top-paying symbols expanding!

Miner Donkey Trouble – Play’n GO

Virtually all of Play’n Go’s slots come with a 5,000X maximum win, and that’s why Miner Donkey Trouble caught our eye - and it allows you to win up to 10,000X your stake! It’s another ‘cluster pays’ game from the software provider too, so wins are formed by matching five or more of the same symbols in a cluster. There’s a few “Donkey Destruction'' bonuses which can do things like removing the lower-paying symbols and awarding additional re-spins, and the Mega Symbol feature is also worth pointing out, as it can land a huge 4X4 symbol on the reels! Miner Donkey Trouble is scheduled for site-wide release on the 14th January.

Golden Horns – Betsoft

Award-winning game developer Betsoft have announced their first release of 2021, and it’s called Golden Horns - one of their most volatile slots ever, allowing players the chance to win up to 25,000X their stake! This Asian-inspired slot is set in the Year of the Ox - 2021 - and the game’s all about the Golden Ox wilds. These have multipliers attached to them, and the wilds multiply against one another - each wild can have a multiplier of up to 88X attached to it. Golden Horns is going to be released on the 14th January and will be available at all online casinos that carry Betsoft’s slots.

January 18th

Emerald King Rainbow Road – Reel Kingdom

Emerald King Rainbow Road is a video slot for a little-known game developer called Reel Kingdom - but don’t let their ‘newness’ put you off playing; Emerald King Rainbow Road is well-made, easy-to-play and offers a maximum win of 20,000X - so there’s some great win-potential! As you can probably tell from the name, Emerald King Rainbow Road is set in Ireland, and it follows the life of a Cheeky Leprechaun! There’s a couple of bonuses and features to look out for, but our favourite is the Rainbow Road feature - although it is, admittedly, a clone of what we saw in Barcrest’s Rainbow Riches! Still, Emerald King Rainbow Road looks good, and we look forward to trying it ourselves on the 18th January when it’s released!

January 19th

Plum Royale With Cheese – Hungry Bear

Hungry Bear are a relatively new online casino developer based in the UK - and while they haven’t seen great deals of commercial success, they’re working hard to cement themselves as a solid newcomer. Plum Royale With Cheese is their latest release, and this quirky-themed slot combines fantasy elements with classic fruit machine imagery; it sounds kind of weird, but it actually works pretty well! The game’s built around a medium variance math model, so you can expect semi-frequent, mid-sized wins. Unfortunately, the RTP comes in a little below-par at 94.87%.

Moriarty Megaways – iSoftBet

iSoftBet are back with yet another Megaways slots, and this time it’s called Moriarty Megaways; naturally, the game uses Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, so there’s 6 reels, up to 7 rows and, interestingly, up to 352,947-ways-to-win. The game can be played from between 0.20 and 20 credits per spin and offers a whopping max win of 37,500X! The free-spins bonus round is the main attraction of the game, and it’s triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Do so and you’ll be awarded 15 free spins, during which an increasing multiplier comes into play!

January 21st

Bull in a China Shop – Play n GO

Play’n Go are no strangers when it comes to developer unique, never-before seen slots, and Bull in a China Shop may be a perfect example of one slot that is just that - unique! The game’s set in a shop that sells China (naturally), and while it displays some Asian-inspired graphics, we’d say it’s actually more set in the dingy alleyways of London a few hundred years ago. Bull in a China Shop can be played from between 0.10 and 100 credits per spin and the default RTP is 96.20%. Bonuses and features include Happy free-spins, Proud free-spins and Angry free-spins - all offering a different reel modifier.

War of Gods – Red Tiger

Red Tiger’s first offering for 2021 is War of Gods - an impeccable-looking slot that showcases the software provider’s best design work. The game can be played from between 0.10 and 20 credits per spin, has a default RTP of 95.66% and is built around a 5-reel, 4-row format; there are 60 paylines. There's a few bonuses and features on offer, including the Wrath of Zeus bonus which sees only the higher-paying Zeus symbols on the reels. Like many of Red Tiger’s games, expect lots of teases - but it’s a great slot and is really fun to play, so you may want to consider checking it out!

January 23rd

Neptune’s Fortune Megaways – iSoftBet

iSoftBet appears to be the most prolific game developer so far this month, and Neptune’s Fortune Megaways is yet another game from them to feature Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic. Interestingly, the number of rows only goes up to 6, so the maximum number of "ways-to-win" is 46,656, instead of the more conventional 117,649-ways-to-win we’re used to seeing in Megaways slots. Neptune’s Fortune Megaways is impeccably designed, and the underwater theme has been pulled off really well by the software provider. There’s also a plethora of bonuses and features to look out for, including free spins, jackpots and treasure chest multipliers.

January 24th

Aztec Gold Extra Gold Megaways – iSoftBet

Atec Gold Megaways proved to be a phenomenal success for iSoftBet, and it went down incredibly well with players. That’s why it’s no surprise to learn that they’ve decided to release a sequel - aptly titled Aztec Gold Extra Gold Megaways. The game offers a selection of new betting options - mainly the “feature buy” mechanic. This allows you to purchase direct entry to the bonus round, without needing to spend time playing the base-game. Aztec Gold Extra Gold Megaways can be played from between 0.20 and 20 credits per spin and has a default RTP of 96%.

Take Olympus – Betsoft

Betsoft’s second game this month is called Take Olympus, based, of course, on the ancient Greek deity of the same name. Take Olympus is built around a 5-reel, 4-row format and there are 50 fixed paylines in play. Like most of the game developer’s slots, Take Olympus looks fantastic, and a fierce-sounding soundtrack accompanies every spin. The game also cycles through four different Olympian Gods, including Apollo, Aphrodite, Poseidon and Hades, with each God applying their own special power to the reels! It’s a great-looking game and it’s really fun-to-play! Take Olympus will be available at all Betsoft casinos on the 24th January.

Slingo Reel King – Slingo Originals

It’s been a while since we’ve seen any Slingo games released - and, for their latest offering, Slingo Originals has partnered up with Novomatic/Red Tiger to release Slingo Reel King. The game uses the classic Slingo mechanic, and the renowned Reel King feature is in play too, which is triggered by “dinging” all five of the reels on a single spin; doing so will reveal a cash prize, with more prizes awarded until no more wins are generated! While Slingo’s games are pretty hard to find online, Slingo Reel King looks pretty decent - and it may well prove to be a success for the software provider!

January 27th

Totem Towers - Habanero

Totem Towers is the first slot to come from Habanero this month, and it’s scheduled for release on the 27th January. Unfortunately, the software provider has been very quiet when it comes to releasing information about the game; we know it’s set in an ancient Mayan civilization, and Pyramids and Totems line the reels - but other than that, and the fact that it’s set on a 6X3 grid, we don’t know anymore about the bonuses and features or what the RTP is! Once Habanero releases more information about Totem Towers we’ll let you know and put a dedicated slot review page up!

January 28th

Madame Destiny Megaways – Pragmatic Play

Madame Destiny was - and remains - one of Pragmatic Play’s most iconic games, and it helped them burst through into the mainstream iGaming industry a few years ago. Madame Destiny Megaways is the sequel - and, as you can tell from the name, it utilizes Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, so there’s up to 117,649-ways-to-win active on every spin! Other than the Megaways mechanic, Madame Destiny Megaways is pretty similar to the original slot - but, if you can believe it, Madame Destiny Megaways has even more win-potential - so we expect it to go down very well with players!

The Faces of Freya – Play n GO

The Faces of Freya is the latest slot to come from Play’n Go’s development labs, and while we don’t know a huge deal about the game, we’ve managed to collect some information! We do know that it features around a Norse mythology theme - and there are said to be three different mini-features within the base-game. There’s also a free spins round, which gives you the option of choosing one of three bonuses - although, at present, we’re unsure exactly what these bonuses are. There’s also a “super bonus” where all three of the free spins rounds are combined!

The Trillionaire – NetEnt

NetEnt has been relatively quiet this month - and The Trillionaire is one of their only releases! They’ve partnered up with Fashion TV to create it, and it’s based around the popular song of the same name that was released back in 2014. Unfortunately, NetEnt has not released any further information about The Trillionaire so we’re unable to tell you about the RTP, the bonuses and features or how it actually plays! Stay tuned as we’ll put a dedicated review up once it’s released!

Wheel of Fortune Megaways - IGT

IGT’s first release in a while is Wheel of Fortune Megaways, a 6-reel, 1-million-payline slot - and yes, you read that correctly; there are up to 1-million paylines! The game boasts a healthy RTP of 96.46%, and can be played from as little as 0.10 credits per spin - suiting those even on the most modest of budgets. Based, of course, around the hit gameshow of the same name, there’s a ton of bonuses and features including, naturally, the Wheel of Fortune itself - and Wheel of Fortune Megaways is going to be released at all IGT online casinos on the 28th January 2020.

Fruit Shop Megaways – NetEnt

Fruit Shop is one of NetEnt’s oldest games currency still in circulation - and while it may be ending its “end of life” period, the same cannot be said for the sequel - Fruit Shop Megaways. The game is built pretty heavily around the original, although, of course, it utilizes Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, so there’s up to 117,649-ways-to-win active on every spin. Fans of the original will be pleased to learn that’s virtually all that’s changed, and the mini free-spins bonuses are still around, triggered by landing wins with the higher-paying fruit symbols.

Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake – Play n GO

Play’n Go’s last release for January is Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake, a quiet yet enthralling slot set above a soothing lake. The slot offers some pretty big win-potential for Play’n Go, and you’ll find yourself able to win up to 10,000X your stake on every spin. The default RTP is 96.20%, and you can play from between 0.10 and 100 credits per spin. Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake has plenty of bonuses, including random free-spins and multipliers, and the Excalibur Spins are where the big money is, with a line of Merlin paying the staggering 10,000X stake!

January 30th

The Ruby Megaways – iSoftBet

iSoftBet really are going all out with the slot releases this month, and their penultimate release is called The Ruby Megaways - a game that has 6 reels, up to 7 rows and up to 117,649-ways-to-win active on each spin. The game’s RTP is a fairly healthy 96.11%, and it can be played from between 0.20 and 20 credits per spin. Aside from the regular Megaways potential, The Ruby Megaways offers a staggering claim of allowing players to win up to 35,000X their stake - and the majority of this win-potential lies within the free spins bonus, during which a win multiplier comes into play! Non-UK players can also purchase the bonus for a cost of 75X their stake.

Royal With Cheese Megaways - iSoftbet

The last release for this month - and yet another slot from iSoftBet - is Royal With Cheese Megaways, a game that utilizes Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic. Playable from just 0.20 credits per spin, the slot is built around a 6-reel format with up to 117,649-ways-to-win active on every spin. There’s a few bonuses and features to be aware of, the first of which is Max Megaways - this gives you one spin with the full 117,649-ways-to-win unblocked. There’s also free spins, during which a progressive multiplier comes into play.
